Opening: 
The regular monthly meeting of the Troop 500 Committee was called to order at 7:12 p.m. in the Healing Room at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Present: 
Ron Aguirre, Mark Rayfield, Darlene Whitley, Linda Zaiontz

1. Scoutmaster’s Report: 
   1. Mark Rayfield stated that the troop has 14 active scouts. 
      School Night for Scouting is August 30th.
   2. December 18th is the Troop Christmas Gathering at Pizza Hut on Jones Maltsberger and Thousand Oaks.
   3. Round Table is on the first Thursday. Future dates include September 6th, October 4th, November 1st, and December 6th at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church.
   4. September, October, November, December campouts to be announced.
      The Court of Honor may be in October.
   5. Alex Bennett is the Outdoor Chair this year.
      An inventory of the chuck boxes will be completed and a list of what is needed will be forthcoming.
2. Fundraising Report:
   1. Al Puente is the Fundraising Chair this year.
   2. September 9th will be the first Taco Breakfast.  The other Taco Breakfasts will be on October 21st, January 13th, and February 10th.
   3. Popcorn Sales begin October 27th.
   4. The Poinsettia Sale will be December 1st and 2nd after all Masses.  We have 375 plants ordered.
3. Treasurer’s Report:
   1. Ron Aguirre made a motion to write a check for the “You Name It Specialties” invoice of $220 to pay for the t-shirts.  Linda Zaiontz seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously accepted.
   2. Angelo Armondo was unable to be at the meeting.  He will give the report to Mrs. Whitley.
4. Adjournment:
   1. As there was no further business, Mark made a motion to adjourn, Ron seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously accepted. The meeting was adjourned at 7:49 p.m.  The next meeting is scheduled for the third Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the Rosary Room.
