Opening: 
The regular monthly meeting of the Troop 500 Committee was called to order at 7:03 p.m. in the Rosary Room at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.  

Present: 
Ron Aguirre, Angelo Armondo, Darlene Whitley, Linda Zaiontz

1. Assistant Scoutmaster’s Report: 
1. Ron Aguirre reported the next taco Breakfast will be October 19th.  The scouts should be there at 7:00 a.m. to serve the 8, 10 and Noon Masses.  Clean-up will be at 12:30 p.m.
2. The scouts will sell popcorn October 26th.
3. St. Mark’s Craft Fair is October 25 & 26.  This is an opportunity for the troop to have a table to sell popcorn.  Need a minimum of two adults to sit at the table, right now we only have one adult.  Mark Rayfield will need to inform the POC if we do not participate but we will sell on October 26th.
4. The next campout may be November 7-9th at Guadalupe State Park.
5. Next Troop Meetings are October 21st and 28th.
6. The Christmas Party will be the first week of December at Pizza Hut as usual.
7. Two Webelos may be joining the troop according to Robin Armstrong.
2. Treasurer’s Report:
1. Angelo gave copies of the Treasurer’s reports dated 10/15/08 to each committee member.  A motion was made by Ron and seconded by Linda to accept the Treasurer’s report. The motion was unanimously accepted. No reimbursements were needed.
3. Committee Chair’s Report:
1. Darlene ordered 330 poinsettia plants from Kleypac Greenhouse. The plants should arrive December 5th.  Volunteers are needed to unload the cases into the Scout Hut that day.  The Plant Sale will be December 6th and 7th.
4. Adjournment:
1. As there was no further business, Ron made a motion to adjourn, Angelo seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously accepted. The meeting was adjourned at 7:29 p.m.  The next meeting is scheduled for the third Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Rosary Room.
