40 yearsTroop History
Founded in 1982, Boy Scout Troop 500 is sponsored by St Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. The troop is part of Diamondback District of the Alamo Area Council.

Troop 500 has had a number of Scouts achieve Eagle rank.

Since 2000, twelve Troop 500 Scouts have earned the highest rank in Scouting, Eagle Scout.

Troop 500 is a boy-led troop. We normally meet (Troop Meeting) three Tuesdays every month at the old Knights' Hall at St. Mark's at 7 p.m. Normally there is no Troop Meeting on the second Tuesday of the month.  Our Troop Committee Meetings are held in the Healing Room at St. Mark’s Social Hall on the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.
